While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

UN Guterres: Gaza crisis reaching 'horrific proportions,' urges immediate ceasefire

NEW YORK, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) -

UN Secretary-General António Guterres renewed his call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, warning that the humanitarian crisis has reached “horrific proportions” and urging the international community not to allow the suffering of Palestinians to be overshadowed by other conflicts in the region.

Speaking to reporters today ahead of his departure to Spain for the International Conference on Financing for Development, Guterres underscored Israel’s legal obligations, “Let me be clear: Israel, as the occupying Power, is required to agree to and facilitate humanitarian relief.”

"People are being killed simply trying to feed themselves and their families. The search for food must never be a death sentence,” Guterres told reporters.

He stated, “Meanwhile, humanitarian operations continue to be strangled. For over three months, shelter materials and fuel for critical services have been blocked. Doctors are forced to choose who gets the last vial of medicine or the last ventilator. Aid workers themselves are starving. This cannot be normalized.”

The UN chief said, “To all Member States, I say: uphold the UN Charter you recommitted to just yesterday for the 80th anniversary,” he said. “Let us bring in the life-saving supplies. Let us reach people where they are. And let us recognize that the solution to this problem is ultimately political.”

Guterres reiterated that only a negotiated political solution can bring lasting peace to the region. “The only sustainable path to re-establishing hope is by paving the way to the Two-State solution,” he said. “Diplomacy and human dignity for all must prevail.”

PGMO: Israeli soldiers’ confessions reveal a crime of mass execution against starving people

Friday 27-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said that the confessions made by Israeli soldiers and officers to the newspaper Haaretz, admitting to deliberately firing on thousands of starving civilians, expose a systematic mass execution crime committed near Gaza’s so-called (aid distribution centers) “death traps.”

The Haaretz report revealed shocking confessions from Israeli soldiers and officers who admitted to deliberately shooting at starving Palestinian civilians near what are referred to as “American-Israeli aid distribution centers.”

The PGMO confirmed that these testimonies constitute a documented internal admission of war crimes and systematic mass killings targeting Gaza’s besieged population, who have been starved and blockaded for months.

It emphasized that the report includes direct military orders to fire on unarmed civilians who posed no threat, using heavy machine guns, artillery, and explosives against peaceful crowds waiting for food — further proof that the Israeli army is executing an organized policy of genocide under the false pretext of “humanitarian aid.”

The testimonies also reveal the Israeli army’s collusion with private security firms and contractors who profited at the expense of innocent blood.

The PGMO called on international institutions, the Human Rights Council, and the International Criminal Court to take immediate action to open the crossings, break the siege, and allow aid deliveries through official UN and international organizations without conditions or delay.

It also demanded that these incidents, which confirm systematic genocide, be criminalized, and called for the prosecution of Israeli leaders and soldiers before international courts without delay. It stressed that the world’s silence on these massacres is tantamount to complicity in the crime.

The Office condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing acts of genocide against thousands of starving civilians in Gaza and held the Israeli occupation, the United States, and the countries complicit in the genocide, including the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, fully responsible for these systematic crimes.

It urged all free nations to break the blockade on Gaza by all available means and to put an end to the acts of genocide, starvation, and siege being committed against 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.

Israeli occupation soldiers admitted to deliberately firing at Palestinians near aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip. Haaretz reported on Friday that Israeli soldiers said commanders gave them orders to shoot at aid seekers “to drive them away.”

The paper noted that the Israeli army uses “every imaginable type of heavy machine gun” against those seeking aid.

Israeli soldiers described the distribution centers in Gaza as “killing fields,” where the firing resembled that used “against an attacking force.”

A month after the establishment of these so-called “American-Israeli aid centers,” now dubbed “death traps,” the Israeli army continues to target the starving population in Gaza daily.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army continues to shut Gaza’s crossings and block the entry of humanitarian aid for nearly four months, subjecting 2.4 million civilians, including 1.1 million children and over half a million women, to unprecedented humanitarian disasters.

Israel's genocide in Gaza: 72 Palestinians killed in 24 hours

GAZA, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) —

At least 72 Palestinians were killed and 174 others were injured in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The Ministry confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 56,331 fatalities, with an additional 132,632 people sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

According to the Ministry, the death toll since Israel’s resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has also climbed to 6,008, in addition to 20,591 others injured.

Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities.

The ongoing Israeli genocidal war continues undeterred despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

On day 630: Key developments in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza

Friday 27-June-2025

GAZA (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip for the 630th consecutive day, through aerial and artillery bombardment, the targeting of starving civilians and displaced persons, all under American political and military support and unprecedented international silence and abandonment.

The PIC correspondents reported that Israeli forces carried out dozens of airstrikes and committed more massacres amid the worsening displacement crisis affecting more than two million people, already suffering from severe famine.

Latest developments:

According to medical sources in Gaza hospitals, many civilians were killed in Israeli air raids across several areas of the Gaza Strip since early morning today.

The Israeli army detonated three explosive-laden robots around Mas'oud Street in eastern Jabalya Al-Balad, northern Gaza.

The occupation forces also blew up residential buildings north of Khan Younus city in southern Gaza.

A medical source said that two people were killed and others injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in Al-Mawasi, northwest of Khan Younus.

Al-'Awda Hospital in Al-Nusayrat received one martyr and 13 wounded, bringing the total to 43 injuries due to Israeli targeting of aid seekers on Salah al-Din Road, south of Wadi Gaza in central Gaza.

Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes on homes in central Khan Yunis, in addition to other strikes on Jabalya Al-Balad in the north.

Israeli artillery also shelled several areas east of Gaza City.

Gaza genocide in numbers

As of now, the ongoing Israeli aggression has killed more than 56,259 Palestinians, injured 132,458, and left over 11,000 missing, with a famine that has already claimed dozens of lives. More than two million Palestinians are living under forced displacement in a landscape of total destruction.

Since Israel reneged on the ceasefire agreement on March 18, 2025, an additional 5,936 people have been killed, and 20,417 wounded.

Since the occupation forces turned limited aid distribution points into death traps on May 27, 549 civilians have been martyred and 4,066 wounded, with the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” — an Israeli-American initiative rejected by the UN — being used as a tool to impose a deadly equation of submission under the guise of “humanitarian work.”

The occupation has also killed:

1,580 medical personnel

115 civil defense members

220 aid and service workers

754 police and security staff responsible for aid protection.

Israeli forces have committed more than 15,000 massacres, targeting over 14,000 families, including the total erasure of 2,500 families from civil records.

According to the Government Media Office and UN sources:

88% of buildings in Gaza have been destroyed.

Total damage exceeds $62 billion.

Israeli forces control 77% of the Gaza Strip’s land through invasion, firepower, and forced displacement.

The occupation has completely destroyed:

149 schools, universities, and educational institutions

369 partially damaged educational facilities

828 mosques destroyed completely

167 mosques damaged

19 out of 60 cemeteries bombed and destroyed.

This ongoing genocide, marked by systematic destruction and the deliberate starvation of a civilian population, remains one of the gravest humanitarian and legal catastrophes of our time and it continues amid international silence.

14 Palestinians killed, including 5 children, in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

At least 14 Palestinians, including five children, were killed and several others injured today as Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting northern areas of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that at least eight people, among them five children, were killed in a massacre after Israeli fighter jets bombed the Osama Bin Zaid School, which was sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Saftawi district, northwest of Gaza City. The attack left behind charred and dismembered bodies, including that of an infant, and caused widespread destruction at the site.

Meantime, medical sources at Al-'Awda Hospital confirmed that six more people were killed in a separate Israeli strike targeting a group of civilians in Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza.

These attacks follow an earlier airstrike today that killed 10 people near the Sha'ban Al-Rayyis School in Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood, east of Gaza City. The victims were transported to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 54,249 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 123,492 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack home in Burin, set up tent nearby

NABLUS, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian home in the village of Burin, south of Nablus, on Friday afternoon and erected a tent opposite it, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that the colonists, who came from the nearby illegal settlement of Yitzhar, targeted the home of the Soufan family on the southern edge of the village. The attackers hurled stones at the house and then pitched a tent across from it.

The same group of colonists had placed a mobile home in front of the Soufan residence several days ago. The house has been subjected to repeated attacks over the years, the sources added.

In addition to the physical assaults, the colonists frequently obstruct the road leading to the home by placing rocks on it, making it difficult for the family to access their residence.

Burin has long been a flashpoint for settler violence, particularly from Yitzhar, one of the most radical Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Al-Quds Water Authority warns that the illegal Israeli settlers seek control of vital Wells near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers Friday stormed the 'Ain Samya area east of Ramallah, and vandalized a sign belonging to Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate Water Authority.

In a statement issued Friday, the Water Authority said that a group of colonists broke into the 'Ain Samya spring area and removed the sign bearing the Authority’s name, which had been placed at the entrance to the water pumping stations, before destroying it.

The Authority described the act as a dangerous escalation reflecting the intensifying colonial assault, noting that the colonists are seeking to seize control of the area's wells, which are among the most vital water sources.

The statement also noted that several days ago, colonists destroyed the main water pipeline connected to Well No. 6, one of the key wells in the 'Ain Samya area.

These pumping stations, the Authority said, supply water to dozens of communities and form a critical lifeline for ensuring the continued flow of water to thousands of Palestinian families within the service area.

The Jerusalem Governorate Water Authority expressed grave concern over the latest escalation, warning that any damage to the 'Ain Samya pumping facilities constitutes not only an attack on civilian infrastructure but a direct violation of the basic human right to water and life.

It further condemned the acts as a blatant breach of international humanitarian law.

The Authority called on international and human rights bodies to urgently intervene to stop these violations and to ensure protection of Palestinian water resources from  the ongoing settlers’ attacks.

Armed illegal Israeli settlers demolish structures, raze land, and attack homes south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Al-Khaleel (Hebron) June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the armed illegal Israeli settlers on Friday demolished an agricultural structure, bulldozed land, and attacked homes and agricultural fields belonging to Palestinian residents in the southern Al-Khaleel (Hebron) area, according to local sources.

Osama Makhmara, a local anti-settlement activist, told WAFA that a group of armed colonists from the illegal settlement of Otniel used a bulldozer to demolish a 50-square-meter agricultural shack in the Khellet Al-Farra area, west of Yatta, which belonged to a local resident. They also razed the surrounding farmland.

In the Khellet Al-'Hummus area, southeast of Yatta, colonists assaulted the home of resident Mu'hammed 'Abdullah 'Obaid, smashing windows and looting furniture, equipment, and mobile phones belonging to his wife and son in an attempt to prevent them from documenting the attack.

Following the raid, Israeli forces detained 'Obaid for several hours and subjected him to interrogation.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime expands an illegal settlement outpost near Qalqilya, seizing more Palestinian land

Friday 27-June-2025

QALQILYA, (PIC)

Israeli occupation apartheid regime expanded an illegal settlement outpost east of the West Bank city of Qalqilya on Friday by transferring 12 mobile homes into the area to provide accommodation for 10 settler families under heavy military protection.

According to Murad Shitaiwi, director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in the northern West Bank, the move is part of a broader Israeli plan to enlarge the Kadumim settlement, which is built on confiscated land belonging to the Palestinian village of Kafr Qaddoum.

The expansion took place overnight, with full coordination and protection by the Israeli occupation army, Shitaiwi said.

He revealed that the occupation began laying the groundwork, six months ago, including the bulldozing of approximately 10 dunums of land and the construction of a new outpost named Gideon neighborhood atop Mount Al-Kadan.

The new outpost is being integrated into Kadumim, a well-established Israeli settlement considered illegal under international law. The development significantly escalates settler encroachment and deepens the fragmentation of Palestinian agricultural lands in the region.

Shitaiwi warned that this expansion poses an immediate threat to thousands of dunums of farmland, particularly olive groves in the northern parts of Kafr Qaddoum. The move could lead to the isolation of large tracts of agricultural land, cutting farmers off from their livelihoods and further entrenching the apartheid infrastructure of occupation and land theft.

This latest expansion reflects a broader Israeli strategy of creating irreversible facts on the ground, undermining the viability of a future Palestinian state and defying international calls to halt settlement activity in the occupied West Bank.

UNRWA demands lifting of Gaza siege as thousands of children face malnutrition

Friday 27-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on Friday called for an immediate end to the Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.

The agency warned that aid distribution points, currently managed under the supervision of the Israeli military, have effectively turned into “killing zones,” while thousands of children face severe malnutrition amid a catastrophic collapse of basic living conditions.

In an official statement, UNRWA stressed that the ongoing blockade is preventing essential food supplies from reaching the most vulnerable populations, constituting a direct violation of the basic human right to food and further worsening the deepening humanitarian crisis.

The agency urged unrestricted and large-scale entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, including supplies facilitated by UNRWA itself, declaring this a life-saving necessity.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s Director of Medical Relief told Al Jazeera that over 17,000 children are currently suffering from acute malnutrition and warned that many could die without immediate intervention. He added that the shortage of infant formula and medicines has led to the postponement of critical surgeries, as medical personnel face shortages and an absence of essential supplies.

Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network in Gaza, called for the formation of an international investigative committee to examine the deaths of hundreds of civilians while waiting for aid. He accused the current distribution mechanism of being a deliberate attempt to dismantle and discredit the humanitarian system.

In a report by The New York Times, a spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs described Gaza as “the hungriest place on Earth,” saying that aid distribution sites have become “death traps.” The paper also quoted a spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross, who condemned the daily killing of civilians attempting to access food.

Since March 2, Israel has imposed a total blockade on aid entry into Gaza, sealing all crossings to food, medicine, and humanitarian supplies. Local and international reports confirm a dramatic deterioration of conditions on the ground.

Since May 27, Israel and the United States have implemented a restricted aid distribution mechanism outside the supervision of the UN. This effort, operated through a controversial entity known as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” has been accused of forcing civilians to choose between starvation and risking being shot by Israeli soldiers.

Aid is being distributed in designated “buffer zones” in southern and central Gaza, but the program has faced repeated breakdowns due to massive crowds of starving people and the Israeli military’s opening of fire on those waiting.

On Wednesday, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that the so-called “Israeli-American aid mechanism” had resulted in 549 deaths and 4,066 injuries in just one month, most of the victims being civilians trying to access food.

Ireland bans imports of Israeli settlement products in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem

DUBLIN, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Irish government has approved a draft bill banning the import of goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland), Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Minister for Defense, Simon Harris, said the proposed legislation, which received Cabinet approval, will now be referred to the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee for review before proceeding to final approval.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the measure aligns with the 2024 International Court of Justice advisory opinion, which declared Israel’s presence in those territories illegal and called on states to refrain from supporting the situation through trade or investment.

Under the proposed law, Irish customs authorities will be granted broad powers to inspect and confiscate goods if their origin is traced to Israeli settlements.

Minister Harris expressed hope that this step would inspire other countries to adopt similar measures.

It is worth noting that in 2018, the Irish Senate approved a bill banning the import of products originating from Israeli settlements built on occupied Palestinian land.

EU urges end to Israeli settler violence in occupied West Bank

JERUSALEM, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) –

The European Union has warned that the situation in the occupied West Bank is deteriorating rapidly, citing a sharp escalation in settler violence in recent days.

In a statement issued on Friday, the EU said that the past few days have seen a significant spike in attacks by Israeli settlers, including acts of intimidation and the destruction of Palestinian homes and property. The statement cited the killing of three Palestinian civilians by the illegal Israeli settlers in the village of Kafr Malik, near Ramallah, on Wednesday as one of the most serious recent incidents.

The EU called for an immediate end to these assaults and urged Israel to take “concrete measures to prevent settler violence against Palestinians and to ensure accountability for those responsible, especially under the current difficult circumstances.”

Reaffirming its position, the EU reiterated that Israeli settlements are illegal under international law and constitute a major obstacle to peace.

MSF: Deadly Israeli-US supply distribution scheme in Gaza must be dismantled and siege lifted

GENEVA, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) -

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) has condemned the Israeli-US food distribution scheme in Gaza, launched one month ago, calling it “slaughter masquerading as humanitarian aid.” MSF said the plan degrades Palestinians by design, forcing them to choose between starvation or risking their lives for minimal supplies.

“With over 500 people killed and nearly 4,000 wounded while seeking food, this scheme is slaughter masquerading as humanitarian aid and must be immediately dismantled,” MSF said in a press release.

The organization urged the Israeli occupation apartheid regime and its allies to lift the siege on food, fuel, medical, and humanitarian supplies and to reinstate the pre-existing, principled humanitarian system coordinated by the United Nations.

“This disaster has been orchestrated by the Israeli-US proxy operating under the name Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The way supplies are distributed forces thousands of Palestinians, who have been starved by an over 100-day-long Israeli siege, to walk long distances to reach the four distribution sites and fight for scraps of food supplies,” the release stated.

MSF stressed the system’s discriminatory and dangerous nature: “These sites hinder women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from accessing aid, and people are killed and wounded in the chaotic process. Yet each renewed atrocity now happens with barely a shrug, let alone condemnation, from an international community seemingly resigned to its role in allowing and perpetuating a campaign consistent with patterns of genocide. This cannot be allowed to continue.”

MSF emergency coordinator in Gaza, Aitor Zabalgogeazkoa, described the distribution system as structurally violent and designed to inflict harm: “The four distribution sites, all located in areas under the full control of Israeli forces after people had been forcibly displaced from there, are the size of football fields surrounded by watch points, mounds of earth and barbed wire. The fenced entrance gives only one access point in or out.”

“GHF workers drop the pallets and the boxes of food and open the fences, allowing thousands in all at once to fight down to the last grain of rice.”

“If people arrive early and approach the checkpoints, they get shot. If they arrive on time, but there is an overflow and they jump over the mounds and the wires, they get shot. If they arrive late, they shouldn't be there because it is an ‘evacuated zone’ — they get shot.”

MSF said that every day, its teams treat patients who have been wounded or killed while trying to access food.

“A lot of people were getting directly shot at. This is not aid – it’s a death trap,” said Hani Abu Soud, a community member at Al-Mawasi healthcare centre. “They were going to kill us one by one. We were hungry; we were just trying to feed our children. What else can I do? A bag of lentils costs around 30–40 shekels [€6–€10].”

“We do not have that kind of money. Death has become cheaper than survival,” he added.

As the distributions have continued, MSF medical teams reported a sharp rise in the number of patients with gunshot wounds. In its Deir Al-Balah field hospital, gunshot injuries increased by 190% in the week of 8 June compared to the previous week.

MSF emphasized that Gaza’s hospitals are barely functioning. They are operating with minimal supplies of pain relief, anaesthetics, and blood. The few remaining functioning hospitals cannot manage the high volume of trauma patients arriving daily.

Injured patients increasingly seek treatment at basic healthcare clinics or field hospitals, as larger trauma-equipped hospitals have been damaged or destroyed by Israeli attacks.

“The MSF clinic in Al-Mawasi, which is not typically equipped to treat trauma patients, has received 423 people wounded from the distribution sites since 7 June. Ten or more patients with violent injuries arrive each day,” MSF said.

“These injuries require immediate lifesaving treatment, like blood transfusions or surgery, that our medical teams cannot provide in a basic healthcare clinic. Patients are referred to the few remaining hospitals still functioning, like Nasser Hospital, but with healthcare so scarce, MSF has received reports of people wounded at aid distribution sites dying from their injuries before they can receive treatment.”

In a firsthand account shared by MSF, the story of a teenager injured while trying to obtain food for his family underscores the dangers: With no food in the tent he shared with his family, seventeen-year-old Ashraf went to a distribution site on 23 June. “I told him it was too dangerous. He said he wanted to get something for his sister,” says 'Hanan, Ashraf’s mother. “Thirty minutes later, he called me, crying for help. He had been shot. This ‘aid’ is soaked in blood.”

Ashraf was being treated at Al-Mawasi basic healthcare clinic.

MSF reiterated that aid must not be militarized: “Aid must not be controlled by a warring party to further its military objectives. The Israeli authorities have used a deliberate tactic of food deprivation against Palestinians in Gaza. They have weaponized the food supply by denying it to people, then by limiting it to a trickle, in a complete violation of international humanitarian law.”

MSF concluded: “Humanitarian principles exist to enable the facilitation of aid to those who need it most, with dignity. Aid must be delivered at scale, consistent with these principles. The people of Gaza are in vital and immediate need of the re-establishment of a genuine aid system and a sustained ceasefire, for their very survival.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
